Creep-fatigue lifetime estimation of efficient photovoltaic module ribbon interconnections

As the solar PV harvesting energy system are becoming more important sector of renewable day to day, improving efficiency module and reducing cost modules receiving attentions manufacturers. Design interconnection ribbons is one main focus for developing reliability modules. In last decade, new designs ribbon have been introduced, however, there still a need optimize their configuration geometry achieve higher without dropping Indeed, solely using wider (to provide joint length) may increase module, but it directly reduces due shading effect. This study provides results determining optimal design long-term interconnections. Three including Conventional Ribbon (CR), Light-Capturing (LCR), Multi-Busbar (MBB) interconnections compared in terms number cycles creep-fatigue failure. uses FEM simulation formulations find effect geometrical parameters on failure different designs.
